The immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom has described Mr. Iangba Kapu who was the Permanent Secretary, Government House Administration during his two tenures as a man of impeccable integrity and honesty.
Chief Ortom stated this during the burial of Mr Kapu at Nyumangbagh, Mbaduku in Vandeikya local government area of Benue State .
The immediate past Governor maintained that Kapu was very instrumental to the successes recorded by his administration especially in the area of policy formulation, accountability and due process, stressing that the then permanent secretary would not compromise civil service rules.
While consoling the family of the deceased and the entire Kunav land, the former Governor enjoined them to take solace in the fact that Kapu lived an exemplary life and the good legacies he has left behind would always bear on his children and members of his extended family.
In another funeral oration, former Commissioner for Education, Prof. Dennis Ityavyar who spoke for cabinet cabinet members and former appointees of the immediate past Governor said Kapu played key roles in the Ortom government and there was the need to stand in solidarity with his family in their moment of grief.
A member of the deceased family , Engr. Iyorwuese Kapu thanked Chief Ortom and his delegation for identifying with the family in their difficult moment and prayed God to bless them.
The immediate past Governor was accompanied to the burial by some of his former appointees, party stalwarts and stakeholders including former SSG, Prof. Anthony Ijohor (SAN), former Benue State Head of Service, Mrs Veronica Onyeke, former Vice Chancellor of BSU, Prof. Akase Sorkaa, the leader of PDP G14 Dr. Laha Dzever, Chief David Amo, former Commissioners, Special Advisers, Principal Special Assistants among many others.
