Renowned cleric, Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo, also known as “Baba Authority,” has encouraged Nigerian youths to prioritize hard work and practical efforts over relying solely on miracles for success.
During an online sermon as part of the ongoing 30 days of fasting and prayer, Prophet Ojo stressed the significance of diligence, creativity, and persistence in achieving personal growth and financial breakthroughs.
“Faith without works is dead. Nigerians must understand that miracles can only complement effort, not replace it,” he said. The prophet highlighted the challenges of unemployment, economic hardship, and dependency on spiritual intervention as barriers to self-reliance and productivity in the country.
Encouraging individuals to discover and utilize their talents, Prophet Ojo added, “God has blessed everyone with unique abilities. The key to prosperity lies in identifying those gifts and working with your hands to make a difference.”
He said “Don’t say you don’t have a job, search for something to do, stop being a social media freak.”
‘Use your hands to work not just watching social media. no one will pay you for seeing social media contents. By watching these people they are getting richer, while you are jumping from one content creator to another, yo u are not using your brain to work. May you never carry coconut head this year. May you receive favour to work.”
“Dont wait until u get money to rent a shop, start something somewhere. most people who have shops are now selling online.”
“you see many people sleeping on the mountain without doing anything and they are expecting miracles. The only thing that makes prayer work is when you are doing something, by being lazy you make people mock God.”
So many people are bitter because God has not answered them but how will God answer them when they are not using their hands and brain to work”, He queried.
He warns that achieving great success in life one must alos appreciate he work and goodness of God in other people’s life.
“Don’t fight glory, appreciate people doing great things and glory will radiate your life. I have taught my members how to appreciate those doing well in life so they can do well as well.”
“When people see the crowd in our crusade they say all sorts of things like this can’t be ordinary he must have deep his hands into occultic things but i started by going around and knocking people’s door for more than 20 years,” he said.
The cleric also urged leaders to foster an environment that allows individuals to thrive through their own efforts. He encouraged young Nigerians to focus on skill acquisition and entrepreneurship as means to achieve financial independence and personal fulfillment.
