Former President Muhammadu Buhari has referred to Nigeria as a difficult country to govern. Speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting at the Government House in Katsina, Buhari, who handed over to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reflected on his time in office. He acknowledged that despite his efforts to tackle the nation’s challenges, he frequently faced criticism.
According to him: “Those outside the corridors of power do not understand the complexities and difficulties facing Nigeria.
”My health has improved since leaving office. People who visited me told me I look better than before.
On.the political turf, Buhari urged political leaders to fear ”Allah” and remain transparent in managing public funds.
The stakeholders’ meeting was convened in preparation for the February 15 local government elections in Katsina State.
Former Governors Aminu Bello Masari, Ibrahim Shehu Shema and Governor Dikko Umar Radda as well as current and former members of the National Assembly with other party chieftains attended the parley.
