BREAKING: Entrance of Benue High Court Office blocked

The main entrance of Benue High Court complex in Makurdi has been blocked with loads of sharp sand.
Government sources, who pleaded anonymity, said the Ministry of Works and Housing has started renovations of the facility.
When The Nation visited the High Court Office, in Old GRA closes to Makurdi Club, stern-looking security personnel were seen at the gate, which was under lock and key.
A security personnel, who displayed his weapon menacingly, also told our reporter that they were at the High Court premises to maintain law and order.
The development, according to observers, may not be unconnected with the ongoing saga of the purported removal of the Chief Judge.
Benue House of Assembly has recommended removal of the Chief Judge for alleged gross misconducts.
But the National Judicial Council (NJC) voided the suspension.
