JUST IN: NNPC sacks top officials

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has removed the Managing Directors of its three major refineries in a significant leadership shake-up under the new management.
The affected executives include the heads of the Port Harcourt Refining Company, Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, and Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company.
In addition to the refinery heads, several top officials within NNPC Ltd have also been dismissed. Among them is Bala Wunti, the former Chief of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS), a subsidiary of the company.
NNPC Ltd has also ordered employees with less than one year remaining until retirement to proceed on exit.
While the company has not released an official statement, multiple reliable sources within NNPC have confirmed the changes.
