PDP swears in new BoT members today

In a bid to revitalize the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 general elections, the party is set to swear in new members to its Board of Trustees (BoT).
This development was announced in a statement issued on Sunday night in Abuja by the PDP’s Director of Publicity, Pastor Chinwe Nnorom.
The BoT, which has seen little change since 2015, has faced criticism for stagnation, with many members remaining in their positions well beyond the five-year term limit outlined in the party’s constitution.
Over the years, several members, including former Minister Kema Chikwe, have retired from politics, while others have either passed away or defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
