Victor Osimhen has rejoined training with Napoli and is expected to be ready for Saturday’s match against Atalanta, as reported by Sky Sport Italia.
The 25-year-old missed Nigeria’s recent game against Inter Milan due to an old scar inflammation but has been making progress in his recovery.
Osimhen trained separately on Tuesday but is on track to feature in the Serie A fixture at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, with potential teammates Matteo Politano and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Ademola Lookman, who recently scored for Nigeria against Ghana, is also set to play a significant role for the Super Eagles. Lookman is likely to start against Napoli if he remains injury-free in the upcoming match against Mali.
Osimhen has had a fruitful season with 13 goals and four assists in 24 games, albeit with only one goal against top-half Serie A teams, a penalty against Fiorentina.
