General Manager of Agate Radio and Television, Makurdi, Igba Ogbole says the media group is positioned to effectively collaborate with individuals and groups on worthy ventures that can benefit the society.
Mr Ogbole who gave this assurance Thursday when he received EXCO members of the Counselling Association of Nigeria, Benue State Chapter who paid him a courtesy visit, noted that as the voice of the people, the Agate media organisation always prioritises the interest of the people and the general wellness of the society.
He acknowledged the critical role counsellors can play in the areas of education and career guidance and commended members of the association for their service to humanity and urged them not to relent in their efforts.
He particularly encouraged the association to popularise their services through advert placements and sponsorship of programmes on Agate Radio, Television or Newspaper so as to reach a greater percentage of the population.
Earlier, the Chairperson of the association, Professor Grace Okpenge, represented by her Vice, Reverend Philip Gire, had commended the commitment with which Agate Radio delivers quality content and engages the public on important issues.
Professor Okpenge said the Counselling Association of Nigeria creates awareness, provides support and fosters resilience among individuals facing educational, vocational and personal social challenges.
She explained that the association recognised the influential roles media platforms such as Agate Radio plays in reaching a wider audience with critical information and called for collaboration between the two organisations to support more people with the benefits of counselling services and mental health support.
In a remark, Secretary of the association, Ezekiel Hanior thanked Agate Radio for the warm reception and seamless manner it carries out its operations.
